Takenaka Pavillion
abstract:
The entrance piazza of Takenaka Corp is enhanced with a newly designed gate pavilion that show case toward the city the recent projects. The arch forms a natural attraction tunnel to the original building entrance while exposing high quality structure below. The glaze door on the gallery room can be rotated open in the summer to maximize the transparency and ventilation of the gallery, and fully closed during winter to have more controlled interior climate.
The central stair fly holds a information desk at the lower level, and provides a visual direction hint to the roof level, where there is a small resting area.
